Princeton University

Academics:

The University has produced many notable graduates . It was with 41 Nobel Laureates , 17 National Medal of Science winners , the most Field Medalists and Abel Prize winner(8 & 4, respectively) , ten Turing award winners , five National Humanities Medal recipients and 204 Rhodes Scholars in connection to the Abel Prize winner and Fields Medal . Two US presidents , 12 Supreme Court judges ( three of them are currently on the field ) , and numerous live billionaires and foreign heads of state are all as an Alumni of Princeton . [ Quantum ] Princeton has also trained many prominent members of the US Congress and the US government , including eight secretaries , three Secretaries of Defense , and two of the last four presidents of the Federal Reserve.

Undergraduate:

Undergraduate courses in the humanities are traditionally either seminars or lectures two or three per week with an additional discussion seminar organized called "PRECEPT" times. Graduate should all (A.B) Applicants have a thesis and in most departments, one or two pieces extensive independent research, known as complete "junior papers." Juniors in some departments, including architecture and the creative arts, completely independent projects that deviate from the written exam. (A.B) Applicants should also have a three or four-semester foreign language requirement and distribution requirements with a total of 31 lessons. (B.S.E) Candidates follows a parallel track with an emphasis on a rigorous science and math curriculum, a computer science requirement, and at least two semesters of independent research including an optional essay. All (B.S.E) Students must complete a minimum of 36 lessons. (A.B) candidates have more freedom in course selection than (B.S.E) candidates because of the lower number of required classes in general. Nevertheless, in the spirit of a liberal arts education, both enjoy a relatively high degree of freedom to create a self-structured curriculum.






Graduate:

The graduate school has about 2600 students in 42 faculties and programs in the social sciences , engineering , natural sciences and humanities . In 2012-13 , received more than 11,000 applications for admission and awarded 319 Ph.D. Statements 170 degrees and master's degrees . Princeton has no medical school , law school or business school .A short-lived Princeton Law School in 1852 folded offers professional graduate degrees in architecture , engineering, economics and public policy , the latter from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs , which was founded in 1930 as the School of Public and International Affairs and in 1948 after the university president and (  US President ) Woodrow Wilson renamed .
